One of the best things about working in the digital space is that our world is constantly evolving. Enhancements in technology redefine what consumers expect from the companies that they engage with day to day, and we are in the privileged position of being able to help guide our clients through these periods of transformation.
In order to provide greater scale for our clients, and provide better support and growth opportunities for our people, we have recently taken the opportunity to review the structure of our software development team. It is as a result of this change than I am incredibly pleased to be able to introduce you to Brett Matson, our new Technical Director.
As Sitback progresses on our path to becoming a BCORP, we’re continually exploring different ways that we, as an organisation, can be more sustainable.
Like many companies, Sitback wasn’t able to gather in person at Christmas last year due to ongoing challenges with the Omicron variant. And because we made the decision to postpone our party in the interest of protecting our team, we didn’t hold our usual gift exchange.
Instead, Sitback’s CEO, Chris McHugh, thought it would be in keeping with our company’s core value of "Community" to redistribute some of the money we would have spent on gifts as charitable donations to the causes that are close to our team’s hearts. As a part of this effort, every Sitback employee was able to select a charitable organisation to receive a contribution.
Sitback may only be at the start of its BCORP journey, but for one employee, being green has long been a way of life.
The Experience Design team at Sitback is at the beginning of an exciting new period of development. While already well respected amongst clients and partners for the quality of work and depth of research, this new chapter in the company's evolution will see appreciable growth, both in terms of capacity, and also the range of value-based services on offer.

Well, this last week has been one hell of a long year. And with our entire team now working from home, we thought we would share a few little gems about what we have learnt so far on the topic of going loco ‘fully remote’: some of it funny, some of it helpful, some of it just plain ramblings as the lack of human face-to-face interaction drives us slowly crazy.
